HOW TO DELETE YOUR MY LINEAGE ACCOUNT ON THE APP
At My Lineage, we value your privacy and want to ensure you have full control over your account. If you wish to delete your account, please follow the steps below.
Steps to Delete Your Account
1. Open the My Lineage App:
Log in to your My Lineage app account.
2. Navigate to Account Settings:
Tap on your profile icon and go to ‘Account Settings’.
3. Select “Delete my My Lineage App account”:
Scroll to the very bottom of the Account Settings page and select the option to “Delete my My Lineage App account”.
4. Confirm Deletion:
A pop-up will appear with the following message:
> By deleting your account, you will no longer be able to use the My Lineage app to log into your account and all your data will be permanently deleted.
> **Important**: Deleting your account doesn’t affect/change/cancel any active order(s) with My Lineage as well as any active payment plans. They will not be disabled and will remain active.
If you have better wording for this pop-up, please let us know.
5. Email Confirmation:
If you click “Delete” in the pop-up, another pop-up will appear stating that an email confirmation will be sent to your registered email address. You must confirm your account deletion through this email. Once this is done, you will be logged out of the app.
Data Deletion and Retention
Deleted Data
Upon deletion of your account, the following data will be permanently deleted from our servers:
• Personal information (name, email, contact details)
• Saved preferences
Retained Data
The following data will not be deleted:
• Any active orders or active payment plans will remain unaffected and active as per the terms agreed upon at the time of order.
• Transaction records for financial and legal auditing purposes will be retained as required by law for a period of 7 years.
