Colada Sword - Gold

This sword belonged to the Castilian knight Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, known as “EL CID CAMPEADOR” in the 11th century.  He was the prototype of the knight and loyal vassal who took part in the Conquest of Toledo with his King Alphonse.

Swept Hilt Rapiers trace their origins to early 17th century Europe, where swordplay with the Rapier was considered an essential part of a gentleman's education and was often used in resolving gentlemanly disagreements.  Much lighter than the broadsword of medieval times, this sword brought about a whole new style of swordplay and a proliferation of fencing schools.  It features a graceful and light blade, carefully tempered.

The length of this sword is 38.6 inches.  Its hilt width is 7.3 inches, with a weight of 4.4 pounds.  Inscribed on the blade are the words “YO SOY COLADA”.  The price of shipping is included.
