Carlos V gained in his time the majestic title of "The Emperor", as no other king reached to unify such an immense empire. He inherited Spain, America, Naples, ad Sicily from his grandparents, the Catholic Kings. From Maximillian of Austria he obtained Flanders and Austria. In 1519 Carlos V was crowned "Roman Emperor", ruling the biggest empire since Charlemagne's reign.
